A co-worker of mine is having a baby. Soon! We are scheduled to "shower" her in a week or so...and I've been knitting away on the
Presto Chango (free download!)...quite possibly the cutest baby sweater I've ever seen. I love it because it looks like a mini-grown up sweater. And the concept of a detachable/interchangable front panel is so cool. I wish I had come up with it! You can actually knit different panels that button-on when you want a new "look"...for your very stylish baby.
This is the back...
The front panel has a lovely yarnover (YO) pattern.
The buttons are very simple - I bought them at Michael's. (P.S. the baby's a girl, don't worry...)
I used organic cotton from
Debbie Bliss's ECO Fairtrade Collection. The gauge is 4 stitches to the inch, and I achieved this on size US 8.
I hope baby and mama like!
